Energy compliance is a deadline business

CaliTitle24 produces Title 24 documentation and field verification for projects across California. We are judged on two things: whether the report passes, and whether it arrived in time.

How we work

Nobody commissions an energy report because they want one. It is a gate between a project and a permit, and every day it sits unresolved is a day of carrying cost. So the operating principle here is simple: remove the gate quickly and correctly, and do not create new problems downstream.

In practice that means three commitments.

  • We tell you what is missing immediately. If the drawings lack a window schedule or equipment efficiencies, you hear about it within the hour — not two days later when you were expecting a finished report.
  • We flag verification requirements up front. Every ECC-verified measure your compliance depends on is identified on the report itself, so the contractor can plan for it instead of discovering it at final inspection.
  • We stand behind the modelling. Corrections on our own work are handled at no charge, as fast as we can turn them, because a report that needs fixing was not finished.

What we will not do

We will not model a design we know will fail in the field just to produce a passing report. A compliant CF1R describing a building nobody can actually construct helps no one — it defers the failure to the most expensive possible moment. If a design will not verify, we say so while it is still cheap to change.

And we will not promise an unconditional plan-check pass. Discretionary judgement varies between jurisdictions and between individual reviewers. What we can promise is correct modelling and free corrections, which is the part actually within our control.

Team photo slot

A photo of your raters doing field verification — blower door set up, duct testing in progress — does more here than any amount of copy.

Independent of the outcome

We sell documentation and verification. We do not sell equipment, we are not paid by manufacturers, and we have no interest in which HVAC system or window package your project chooses.

No equipment sales

No manufacturer relationships, no specification incentives. The model recommends what the model recommends.

No pass-at-any-cost

If a design will not verify in the field, you hear it at design stage, when changing it is still cheap.

No surprise scope

Fixed price agreed before we start, and verification requirements identified up front rather than billed later.
